You know, this morning there was almost a big problem. I met Kil Dong in front of our company and we started talking before going in. 

오늘 아침에 큰 문제가 생길 뻔 했어. 길동이를 회사 앞에서 만났고, 들어가기 전에 이야기를 시작했어. 

We're talking, talking, talking about it's the fact that it's the manager's birthday. Manager's birthday so we decided we have to buy a nice gift.

우리는 계속 이야기 했어. 오늘이 매니저의 생일이었어. 매니저 생이라서 우리는 좋은 선물을 사기로 했어.  

But nobody can afford an expensive gift. So we're all gonna chip in the same amount.

누구도 비싼 선물을 살 여력은 없었어. 그래서 우리는 모두 똑같이 각출하기로 했어. 

Kil Dong had about 30 ideas. "Maybe we can get him a jacket. Maybe we can get him a necktie. Maybe we can get him seat covers for his car."

길동은 30개 정도의 아이디어가 있었어. "재킷을 사주자. 넥타이를 사주자. 차의 시트커버를 사주자." 

"Hey, hey, hey. That's too much. We need to hone in on just one item. We can all chip in to pay for."

"야, 야, 야. 너무 많아. 우리는 한 가지 물건에 집중해야 해. 우리는 모두 지불할 수 있어."   

Suddenly I realized. "We're late for work. Hurry up! We gotta punch in before the boss gets angry. And we're fired, don't have any money to chip in for a present.                   

갑자기 난 깨달았어. "우리 지각이야. 서둘러! 보스가 화나기 전에 출근 해야 해. 우리가 잘리면, 선물을 살 돈이 없어."
