The North Korean government is said to be working diligently to make the final choices for the participants to the Delegate’s Conference of the Party. On the 29th, Musan County sent out two of their final candidates. One of the candidates is a secretary for the Musan division of the Party, and the other is a Party secretary for Munam-ri.

Originally, each division selected two candidates, but this time only Musan County has selected the two candidates. The candidates were expected to depart for Pyongyang on the 29th.

The delegates to participate at the Conference are also being assembled in Kangwon Province. Local sources report that these delegates will also soon depart for Pyongyang. Rumors of succession to Kim Jong-il continue, but locals privately criticize Kim’s successor.

Wonsan City of Kangwon Province, famous for being the hometown of Kim Jong-un, was given 24 hours of electricity every day this summer. However, since August, the electricity ration has been reduced to two hours in the morning from 5am to 7am, and four hours in the evening from 7pm to 11pm.
