A PSCORE source reports that Chinese Head of State Hu Jintao arrived at Changchun Airport to meet with North Korean Chairman of National Defense Commission Kim Jong-il. The reasons behind Kim’s sudden visit are uncertain. Due to Hu’s visit to Changchun, the security measures within the airport and the city are said to be much stricter than normal.

 

Highway from Northern Changchun to Yanji (Yeon’gil) blocked

 

The highway leading from Northern Changchun to Yanji is reported to be completely blocked. The blockage has been in place since 7:30am today. Consequently, chaos reigns in front of the blocked entrance to the highway with countless cargo trucks, busses, and vehicles waiting for the highway to reopen. Rumors of a reopening surfaced at 10am local time, but, as of the time of the report, the highway remains closed.
